I love being busy. I love having things to do, and absorbing everything I possibly can. I love following an itinerary and planning out my days, so I can do as much as I can in my time frame. But, you know what else I love? I love relaxation. I love having a late breakfast in a cafe, strolling through the old streets of Italy, taking a boat ride, doing some light shopping. Go on an urban adventure, explore the gorgeousness of Tuscany and Sicily, and truly just have a good time. Honestly, after a hectic school year and non stop exams, the one place I feel truly happy is just strolling through old European streets with my family, and making the most of life. Wow, that was deep, but you probably get it.

All you need to know
Monday through Saturday, shops generally open at around 9am, and close at 1pm. After lunch, or workers lunch breaks, shops are opened again at 3:30pm, and close again at 7:30pm.
A majority of shops are closed on Sundays, but you may find an anomaly in many cities in Italy, such as Tuscany where shops can be closed until 4pm, but then open for a minimum of 3-4 hours.
Excluding breakfast cafes, restaurants generally open at 12pm, and close after 2:30pm, reopening again at night from 7pm – 11:30pm.
Helpful tip: Expect to pay for pane e coperto (bread and cover charge), as its standard and is normally added even if you don’t eat or ask for the bread.
